A Merry Christmas to all of you! Last month, Drako made a great effort to gather the troops for some Quake2 nostalgia, and I'd like to try to repeat that, if anyone is interested.

We still have a tastyspleen.net private server at our disposal, and I know at least a handful of us have Quake2 installed and ready to rock. For those of you who do not, I recommend you dig out your CD, and nab one of the current Quake2-compatible engines such as R1Q2 or AprQ2. If you've lost your CD, email me (jay _at_ jaydolan.com) and I'll help you out.

I'm pretty flexible as far as game time, but I'll throw out 3pm - 6pm Eastern as a baseline.

The server is currently running vanilla deathmatch on q2dm1-8, but if enough people are up for it, there are several hundred custom levels installed on the box that we can easily vote in.
