I'm probably attending GIGSE, and spending a while there before or after just hanging.

Anybody up for a meet? =)

how much does it cost in gas from Montreal to Detroit? I've still never been in the US of A, but I hear intra-American flights are expensive as hell, but if somebody is willing to drive e.g. from Detroit to Montreal for a visit, and then maybe back to Montreal, I'd be happy to sponsor the trip in exchange for a passenger seat

well, actually not so expensive. I got a flight listed for 190 euros, which isn't wallet-splitting at all. But what about the gas?

oh, and if there's anyone willing to provide accommodation for a couple-few days, that'll extend my air travel budget by the amount reduced from my hotel budget.

wow, that's quite a hike. 10hour drive or so. still, it may be a fun road trip. that's 5.5-600 miles or so, or about $70 in gas for my car.

I've got a few friends who are always looking for road trips (work schedule permitting, of course), I'll talk to them and see if they want to make a trip outa it. Should be fun

I'm not up to going to Montreal, especially in a car (I've drove it once, one way and it took 8 hours). If you end up going to Detroit let me know. It would be cool to meet-up.

Montreal is about 4.5 hours for me, not a bad drive. That said I won't be there, I'll be somewhere else probably.

Miss you guys.

hell, looks like Montreal is like right next to New York.

Would that be a suitable meeting point for more people? It's darn cheap flying back home from NY.

Update: very hard getting home from Detroit So New York would be much better I think.

haha, great!

I'm almost settled on New York, just the dates are still a bit open. I'll let you know monday, cause that's when I really have to book the flights (at least to and from America, internal flights I can book a little later)

I can pick people up along the way from Detroit to NY if need be. At the moment I've got a station wagon, but I'm probably going to end up with a hatchback of somesort by June. Maybe a VW Golf, Honda Civic, or Saab 9-something-or-other. So I can grab a couple of people
