Hey guys, I've decided to buy a computer before Christmas, I just can't wait any longer!

I must know how to tell if a motherboard will accept the AMD Athlon 64 X2 chip, or what happens if you put one in and it's not supported...

I was checking out this and it looks pretty good and gets pretty good reviews: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=13826&vpn=LP-NF4-SLI-DR&manufacture=DFI

Can anyone recommend a good motherboard for AMD X2 Chip?

Jam, just about any nForce4-class board (equivlant VIA and SiS chipsets too) will support a socket 939 dual core. You MAY need to do a BIOS update once you get it up an running though.

Might I recommend you don't get that DFI board though. I know that a lot of people rave about it, but the only one I've actually seen had some wacky driver issues. I would get an Asus A8N-SLi Deluxe or an A8N32-SLi deluxe board. I know they're more expensive, but the price/stability trade off is worth it I think.
