I dunno about you guys, but I'm constantly idling in a few IRC channels. I think this group should have one. How about #quake2 on freenode? Totally open for suggestions.

I hang around on irc.chatchannel.org usually, that's where the official channel is for the online game I'm running.

Heh. We're probably all split among 20 different IRC networks.

I have understood the chat part of IRC, but apparently, you can also transfer files over it, about which I have no clue.

Anyways, IRC was my first community. Undernet to be exact. You guys are welcomed in #quake2 (my old channel, some ppl still idle there).

i still have a bunch of old irc logs from me, xanthan, scoob, and others.

you can't use a java client or anything.

and xan, i have no webspace. i actually can't find all the logs, but i did stumble over one, and it's 900k.

we used way too many aliases. i don't know aht the fuck is going on in half of these.

Burble, I just time out when I try to connec to any IRC serv. I assume they've blocked me or am I doing something retarded? Do you have a link to a decent java-web client I could ues to connect to IRC?
