I figured since a lot of people here are into art, like graphics and photography, I figured I'd share my latest ode (and get made fun of for it). This isn't the first poem I've written, just the first one you've seen from me.

The Dream

Off to bed to dream again
Rest my head, close my eyes and then
Slowly drift off into the night
As my imagination takes flight

I'm standing in a field, sun above
And who do I see but my true love!
Slowly she turns into John Ritter
But for some reason I'm not so bitter

In dreams this would make some sense
For killing my love he made recompense
By giving me a midget to fight at my side
Against the Balvarines rushing in a tide

Fighting with courage as heroes do
Me and my midget seem to get through
The endless onslaught to victory
Suddenly its the ocean I now can see

It speaks to me in a language dead
Thoughts of ancient power flood my head
Slowly lift my feet off the ground
Lifted by the water's power profound

Now I can soar and dash through the wind!
Dropping down whenever I have sinned
Flying higher with every good deed
Riding on the wings of a conscience freed

Why does this guy want a ride?
I don't have a seat tied to my hide
I'm no airplane, it would seem
Try again in another dream

The sun seems to be getting brighter
I start to feel slower and lighter
Slowly everything fades to black
I open my eyes and know that I am back

The world has become much too metrosexual for me. Give me men who build houses, work on cars, shoot guns, drink beer. Poetry and I have never been good friends. Why babble on about something for 5 minutes when you could get the point accross with two or three words.

Example.... Short version....
Bob and I built a house

Long poetic (girly)version....

Oh majestic timbers reach toward the sky

Plumbers and carpenters all getting high

With Nailgun and chop saw all day they construct
what will soon resemble a house with some luck.

Permits, Estimates, building inspector.
Carpet and gypsum and smoke detector.

Three hundred thousand dollars of materials it took.
For Bob and I to create this dreamy house with a nook.

...or I can make money publishing all the stuff I've written so far, without having to do anything as monumental as build a house. Keep in mind my penis isn't small so that I need to compensate for it.

you guys suck.

Ser - thanks.

You want a man poem? Here's your man poem.

There was a guy named Flux who posted
Some of his poetry but got roasted
For his girly stuff which started a row
But God would make his critics eat some crow

His poetry doublefresh did not appreciate
And wondered if Flux was a sexual deviate
But doublefresh Flux had forgiven
For being mad about the small penis he'd been given

God sat up in heaven and watched
As Flux's poetry was debauched
"What an awful, horrendous sight
I should probably try to make things right."

From heaven a bolt of lightning streaked
Doublefresh burst into flames and shrieked
The engulfing flame was extinguished
And doublefresh relinquished

But God wasn't done yet, oh no.
More at Q3A had seeds sown
He spied a guy named Cyborg6
But just ouright killed the fucker cuz he doesn't deserve a rhyming line

Next was jondster, macho and strong
Although he didn't do much wrong
God took it out on him anyway
A tornado came and blew his house away

Then there was the poor Canuck named Snag
God thought "This one's in the bag.
He lives in Canada and that's bad enough
I think I'll spare him some of my stuff."

A poster named outrider He spied
Who got pneumonia and died
AIDS WillyTrombone did suffer
And xanthan OD'ed on uppers

Cacophonous came and saw the mess
And had an aneurism at God's behest
There was nothing that Scooby could do
Except grab a sword and run himself through

Broch's political rants did him no good
As it showed that he too had tiny wood
No one wanted to hear what he had to say
So God unceremoniously killed him one day

Wintermute was a smart young buck
God went and made him poor as fuck
Food stamps he now had to collect
His argument against them he did inspect

Flux had witnessed the bloodshed that day
Of all those that suffered at Q3A

Flux: "ty"
God: "np"

You're all eye-brow plucking, cock smoking, thong wearing wankers!! Admit it!!

Seriously though, good stuff Flux.

metrosexual leaves him bitter
says the one named by cat litter
so he tells dreaming flux
indeed poetry sucks
put away that blouse
and build me a house
yet we all shall agree
at least to a degree
over the ironic use of mute
to rhyme a welfare dispute

I agree with 2x.

Dreaming of John Ritter? That is some funny sheite!

BUT

in defense of exposing your feelings to others only to get beat down online, i've been there and it hurts.

I was mostly joking, I'm just jealous because I have no education.

I have a number of close friends who are gay but I still wonder about them, especially the ones who are flamboyant but who am I to judge. I'm just an illiterate with a small penis. I'm actually in love with a gay man right now. He just bought a 1.9 Million dollar house from my soon to be wife and real estate agent. This one deal net her $19,000.00 and he is interested in buying two more from her this month around the same price range. That's a potential $50K-60K in my bank account because of a gay man with lots of money.

Poetry certainly has it's place. I prefer it when it is accompanied with an electric Guitar, bass and drums but them I think it's called music.

You also have to look at what time I posted my original reply. 6:49 AM I had just finished riding my CBR 1000 from the beach to my other house in Dover DE (a 45 min drive) All I had on was a leather jacket and a pair of jeans and the sun was not up yet. At 95 mph it was cold as hell. I had to be at Dover Air force base at 0730 and was just checking in to see if anyone had posted anything interesting from the night before.
My sensitive side was not yet awake, I was in 130MPH Rice rocket mode and heading off to my job as a gun for hire with the US military.

I will secretly confess that I have written something resembling poetry once when I was upset about a girlfriend leaving me and maybe once or twice when I was upset about other things. Lately things have been too good and I've been to busy to write much.
