Author Topic: US robotics performance pro modem cypher917 Visor Member # 2312 Rate Member posted 03-13-2001 01:19 AM                   Has anyone tried to use this modem yet. I have been trying to get my internet connection up and running for weeks. I have gone through 3 of the same US robotics card, various other modem brands, 2 motherboards and 3 operating systems. I finally found an ISA modemblaster that my brother said was broken but it is working fine in my computer. What a struggle. Well I just wanted to vent my frustration. I wish someone had never thought of a winmodem. What a piece of junk. BTW, has anyone tried using a USB modem. I saw one by D-link advertised on Egghead.com. I don't plan on getting one but just wondered if anyone has had experience with it. Well, strip poker is on. Can't miss that. Safe journey everyone.
