No one post much on the weekend. What is it you do? My days all run together so weekends don't feel like weekends. They are just another day. I've got a new renter moving in on Monday so I have to drive to Dover and make sure the hose is clean. Saturday morning I may take out the Kayak and do some trim work around the house. I've got a couple dozen Items I'm watching on Ebay, that may take an hour or two out of my day. While in Dover I may stop in and see a few friends. I don't really have anything planned until the 5th of next month when I do a day of work for the Air force and on the 12th I'm off to Las Vegas for a week. I'm not a big gambler so I will probably just do a week of sight seeing. The following week I close on a piece of beach front property as long as the seller does not wig out. After that I don't really have any plans. Ir will be a few months before I start construction on my next house. Luckily the beaches will be opening up for surf fishing again soon. I can drive the Jeep out there and just smoke and drink and fish.

Well, Saturdays I'm at work.

After that. . . I could lie and say that I'm at one party or another, the truth is simply that I'm too tired from the rest of my week that I simply vegetate. If it's a swim meet weekend, in which case I'm getting my shit together so I can get up at the crack of dawn on the Sunday and do the transformation from mild-mannered geek to Coach/Tyrant.

If my Sunday is free, then I usually try and get the things done that I didn't do during the week, like sleeping till noon, and then laying on the couch till dinner.

Not a lot this weekend. Mess around the house. Maybe take the wife to a couple parks so she can indulge in her birdwatching. Probably fart around a bit in my mini woodshop in the basement. Play some quake.

Shut-up and fish

this week:

monday - workshop day at client, 10am to 4pm, after which some game design talk with a buddy over dinner. Home maybe 7-8pm, with some chatting and anime watching, then bed.

tuesday - in the morning some game debugging and general affairs, then a quick session with a modeler, after which lunch and a meeting with some consultants till 4pm. Can't remember what I did after that...

wednesday - 10 am look at a potential new office space, then board meeting till about 1pm. Then some random work until going to the gym at 4pm. Forgot my gym shorts, so had to detour via home, so was quite late. After gym went to see a bathroom renovation at my buddy's place, and got a ride home. Dinner, chatting, anime etc, bed.

thursday - economics school from 9am to 4pm, then customer meeting from 4pm to 6pm, then stop for dinner and some Office (comedy series) watching, then game design and business strategy talk till 0:30am. Got home but didn't feel like going to bed until after 2am...

friday - more school from 9am to 4pm, then a detour via the offices to get some folders for the book keeper, then home. At home just mostly lazing around, eating snacks, having a drink, watching anime, and having a few long phonecalls regarding game design. Bed at 2am.

saturday, which is today - in bed until 2pm. Phoning buddies, breakfast, shower, and now I'm here. Gonna see about some contracts for a bit, then clean up the house, and then watch anime until going out to a party. Don't expect to be home until after 4-5am, if at all.

sunday, which is tomorrow - probably having a hangover, and staying in bed half the day. No plans. Gotta go shop for food.

so, what's your problem really? Get a hobby, or read a book. Build machine gun turrets!

typical weekends around here for me primarily involve getting trashed and going to parties, trying fruitlessly to get laid, going to basketball games and playing the tuba, finding things other than schoolwork to do, and generally being a pretty lazy shit.

lol Fess

Today I'm painting my office a blueish grayish greenish color. BTW I don't buy into that logic that darker colors make a room look smaller.

I am doing the painting in my office, our exercise room, laundry room and the bedrooms. I had a professional painter do the living/dining room, halls, downstair bath and loft. I especially did not want to do the living room which has two story walls with a vaulted ceiling.

Next I lay the new flooring in 800 SQ FT of the lower level.

FS, What type of game are you working on?

Willy, Where can I get some replacement pads for my Saxaphone?

Cac, I just painted a rental house purple. It does not look any smaller. How much did the painter charge you?

2x - any music store that carries wind instruments should have some extra pads in stock. I recently had some work done on my tuba by Nick Rail and I was impressed enough to endorse them. They run a really tight shop.

well, I never did get home saturday night. In fact, I never slept saturday night. The party wen't on in full force till about 6-7am, after which it wen't on a little slower until it was midday again and time to start a new day...

Obviously sunday was hangover day, once I actually got home around 4-5 pm.

2X - we're working on one TV game now (SMS based, realtime 3D puzzle game), as well as some regular pay per download mobile games, and also some money games for mobiles and Flash.
