Anybody seen anything like this....

I was burning a DVD with DVD Decrypter and I decided to transfer the pics from my digital camera (it's a Kodak and sits in a docking station). At the same time as I pressed the transfer button on the docking station I got an error from DVD Decrypter. This is where it starts getting weird. Since that point I can't open my DVD drive and it doesn't respond. Also, Windows now takes MUCH longer to startup. I'm running all the usual shite now to check for funky stuff on my PC but I am curious to hear if anyone else has had DVD troubles of this nature? I dunno what brand the DVD drive is but it says DD0405 on a sticker on it's case and Google returns Optorite.

Miss you guys.

Interesting. Any idea how that happens? When I looked in the Device Mangler I didn't see any problems. I guess since the only thing that appears not to work is the DVD writer I should start by uninstalling that then I'll work from there. Is there any software that will check this shit out for me? I have to go and entertain the wife now so I don't have time.

Not that I thought that it would do any good but I ran AdAware and SpyBot to clear up all the known pish that is lying around so I'm all set on that front. I will run a virus check shortly.

Use DVD Shrink?
