Most MODs require a special command line such as +set game modname. Servarena
allows you to specify additional command line parameters on the advanced tab. Simply enter the parameters required
by the MOD, and start your server.
Memory Requirements
On the advanced tab you will find a field that allows you to specify how much memory is allocated for your
server. The memory requirements vary depending upon the type of game you're running. Here are the memory settings
suggested by Id:
FFA: 16 (12 minimum)
Tourney: 16 (12 minimum)
Team Deathmatch: 16 (12 minimum)
CTF: 32 (26 minimum)
Running a Private Server on the Internet
You may want to run an internet server, but restrict access to those which you supply a password. To do this, go
to the advanced tab, and check the "Require password" box, and enter the password. If you want to
require a password for all players, set the number of private clients to equal the maximum number of players
specified on the general tab.
Note: When using a password to connect to your server, Quake 3 will report that your server is full,
regardless of how many clients are connected. When a client connects to your server, they will need to
type /password (password) at the console to join the game.
