Quad Multiplier:
Set's the multiplier factor for the Quad damage. Id sets this to 3 by default, Servarena defaults to
four so that it's a true "Quad". It's also fun to set this to 1, because unsuspecting players
that make a habbit of hogging the quad have no advantage over
anyone else, and become nothing more than brightly glowing targets ;-)
Weapon Respawn Time:
Sets the amount of seconds before a weapon respawns. Setting this to 1 does not equal Quake II's "
weapons stay" setting, and will allow a player to sit on top of the weapon until he/she reaches the
ammo limit. Servarena sets this value to five by default.
Aditional Master Servers:
These boxes allow you to specify up to five master servers to report to. A master server is one that
keeps track of all Quake 3 Servers on the Internet. Programs such as GameSpy, and the internal multiplayer
menu in Quake 3 Arena query these servers to provide players with a list. Quake 3 Arena will only report
to a master server if you have selected Dedicated Server for the server type on the general tab.
The Id Server (master3.idsoftware.com) and the GameSpy server (master0.gamespy.com) are selected by
default.
Allow Clients to Record Demos:
This sets the "g_synchronousclients" variable in Quake 3 Arena. Clients may be able to record
demos without this option selected and checking this box may effect server performance, so it is not
recommended.
Pure Server:
A pure server is one that does not allow clients to connect to your server unless their PAK files are
the same as yours. This is to prevent the possibility of cheating.
Allow Voting:
Check this box if you want to allow players to vote for map changes, kicking players, etc.
Allow Map Cheating:
This starts each map using the devmap command, which allows players to cheat by using commands such
as \give all (which instantly awards them will all weapons).
Friendly Fire:
When selected, teammates are able to frag each-other. (For use with Team Deathmatch and CTF games only)
Auto-Join:
Forces players to join a team when they connect to the server. (For use with Team Deathmatch and CTF games only)
Auto-Team Balance:
Forces players to join the team with the least amount of players, which helps to keep the teams
balanced. (For use with Team Deathmatch and CTF games only)
When the Server Starts, Servarena Should:
When checked, you have the choice of closing or minimizing Servarena when you launch a server. If unchecked, Servarena will remain active.
