OK, so we have been friends for a looooong time, and have blown each other up in more ways than I can recount. I don't want this place to die. Let's mount a revival, and let's start it with BF3. I'm on the PS3, but I can get the PC version as well when it comes out. I play these types of games tons, and refuse to grow up

I will start coming back regularly. I'd rather talk to you guys than most forums out there.

Nope, sorry, can't do it. You wanna play BlackOps, MW2, or MW3 when it's released and I'm in, but I've never been a fan of the BF games. There's something about the "feel" that's always been just a bit off to me.

I played BC2 and it was fun for a bit... but I enjoy the non-vehicle ones... like COD4/5/BlackOps (avoided MW2).

I may pick up BF3 but not sure how long it will keep me... and I'm skeptical about MW3. The trend of monetizing every little aspect of the game (Elite service and DLCs) really turns me off since it eats away at all the community creativty.

Anyone else still play PC FPS games these days?

Nope. I'll occasionally play Starcraft, but the last PC game I played with any regularity was WoW, and I gave that up around the time that Cataclysm was released. I just didn't have it in me to fight through another round of dungeons and leveling, so it seemed like a good time to bow out.

All totaled, I probably play 4-5 hours of video games a week, and 90% of that is CoD.

Interestingly, I still have Q2 installed on my computer. It keeps getting moved from drive to drive, and I've never had the heart to delete it

i loved BF2 but am pretty sure BF3's consolization will make me want to punch myself in the face.

wake me up when someone makes a real online UT/quake style FPS (it's been since UT2k4 as far as i'm concerned) or a new tribes.

Nope. It's the free browser based version of Q3A run by id. It plays pretty well, but it's still a 3 year old browser based version of a 12 year old game. It's also pretty slow to load, and I never could quite get my controls to work properly.
